| MeraDesh:
How long have you been in the music biz? |
| IshQ:
I started out as a pro street dancer when I was
about 14... by 16 I started rapping... 18 I started
producing beats but it feels like my whole freakin'
life! |

| MeraDesh:
You started out with Frek Sho (pronounced: Freak
Show), tell us about the group and what you guys
have been up to? |
IshQ:
Frek Sho had a lot of members once upon a time...
Me, Shazzam, Ismaila, The Galavanting Spoof, GUM,
Legend, Grasshopper, & Gruf da Druid. A crime
syndicate turned musical... I got a lot of love
for the Frek...we've released a bunch of CD's and
records... I produced all of the earlier stuff before
I flew the coup to Bom-Biggie... While I was gone,
there was some discs and vinyl released... Shazzam
just dropped his solo LP called Mic I'll Shazzam
Write that I co produced with DJ Kutdown... it's
sicker than karele... Ismaila is also finishing
his third solo joint soon to... Hey, check the hidden

How would you describe your flavour of music? |
| IshQ:
Hip-Hop ruffed up with a Desi twist... so Desi
Hip-Hop... I guess... But I like my sound fresh
out the box... No language boundaries... killing
it in Hindi, Punjabi, English... doin' some French
& Spanish stuff soon too... what you know about
that? |

IshQ, you were born and raised in Canada. Why
did you make the move out to Bollywood? |
| IshQ:
All of us Indians are bound together by Bollywood
Cinema (cuz our parents don't know no better!)...
So I figured that f*ckin up the scene over there
would get me exposed to the global Indian community
the fastest...Oh yeah...plus there was the lure
of hanging out on a different planet... as messed
up as it is, Mumbai is still a city of dreams where
you reach for the sky and a bird will shit in your
hand.. Good luck, right? |

You spent 4 years out in India, what were you
doing out there? |
| IshQ:
I started off in a filmi acting school for 9 months…you
try improv acting in Hindi the next time you’re
crunked! Good trips… then I did some VJing
& sound promos with Channel V & MTV India...
hmmm... did a shit load of IshQ shows in the club,
fashion and college circuit!!! Toured a lot of India...
f*k yeah... I also taught massage in 5 star health
facilities and hotels...my day job is Acupuncture
and Massage Therapy so I was doing pain management
& sports rehab for some cool India Cricketers
and Bollywood peeps... |

You competed in the MTV India VJ search. They said
you weren't 'Indian' enough for their viewers. How
different are the peeps out in India? What's the
biggest difference you noticed between the folks
out there and us? |
| IshQ:
The biggest difference between US and THEM is that…WE
toke killer GREEN chronic bud that is engineered
to maximize THC content... and THEY mix BROWN tobacco
cigarettes with BLACK Manali hash… you do
the math! |

While in Bollywood you hung out with some of the
biggest stars. Who's the coolest person you kicked
it with? |
IshQ:
Yeah the stars are cool... they're even cooler
when they dig your vibe... I went to acting classes
with Ashmit Patel (Amisha Patels bro)... that
f*ckerz a bon-a-fied hell raiser... he's one of
my best friends on that side of the globe... have
you hecked him in Murder? That film is Hectic!!!
Pro Vogue, the clothing brand did an IshQ street
party where I got on a 50 foot truck and went
to 8 of the bizziest colleges in Mumbai to rock
my steeze... Ashmit joined the show and represented
to the fullest... we've also judged dance and
beauty contests together... that's the shizz...mackin
these mommies on double dates and all... ha...you
know how we do ;) .. |

'Dreamz of Banging a Bollywood Chick' It's a dope
track. Who inspired it? Is there anything you'd
like to tell us? |
IshQ:
There's a Notorious B.I.G. track called Dreams of
f*ckin an R&B bitch... and one time, when I
was sandwiched in a Mumbai local train by about
2 hundred too many nasty brothers who can't spell
deodorant. I got hypnotized by all the filmi banners
with the gorgeous heroines on them... kuch kuch
hua... So I immediately went home, picked up my
Dabu Rathnani calendar, a pad & pen, some baby
oil and opened season on those fantasy goddesses...
yumm...

Tell us about the 'IshQ De' video. Where was it
shot? Isn't one of the sexy ladies in the video
an ex? |
| IshQ:
‘IshQ De’ was shot
in Ali Bhag, few hours south from Mumbai... we shot
at Mol Janjira the ancient fort for 'the chase'
sequence... 'the exotic-erotic massage' was on a
dirty ass beach.. Yeah, the massage & chase
chick role was played by Andy, my ex-lover... Killer
times... she's a crazy cool kitten... with big bad
claws!! Feel me? |

Tell us about your second video? |

The second video is Nachanaa Ve Nachanaa... we shot
that right here in The Peg a Desi House Party film
something sexed-up right for the Indian family to
watch together... yeah, its kind of a funk-comedy..

What are your future plans? |

Wrappin’ up a few other things then heading
to London for a bit...then to Mumbai for two weeks...
then roughly a month in L.A...Sounds busy... but
I'll just try to keep my eyes closed...
