| The
Dreaded Set Up Date |
| |
| Parents
are becoming champions at finding suitable matches
for their sons and daughters. They don't seem to
realize Indian dating is like going to a job interview.
You sit across from compatibility candidate number
26 and have to sum up your life's ambitions in 45
minutes before your dad picks you up. It's no wonder
why so many kids in their late 20's are relying
on fate to save them. It has to happen eventually
right? We have a better idea that may seem a little
outside the box but worth trying. Relax. Don't put
so much pressure on yourself and try to have some
fun. There are other ways of learning more about
a person than asking them. Skip the monster formality
of sitting at a restaurant, ordering food you're
not going to
eat, and the in depth question/answer period. Try
these first date activities instead. |
|
| Grab
a coffee and go for a walk in the park. Nature is
a wonderful thing. There's something about the good
old outdoors that can not only relax you but help
you put things into perspective. Enjoy the time
and the conversation. |
| |
| Hit
the stores. Furniture stores that is. Decorating
style is something that people take for granted.
Women usually have it and can't resist when guys
need help with it. Get a sense of each others style. |
| |
| Get
Physical. Shoot some hoops or pool. One of the biggest
secrets of successful relationships is friendship.
Just hang out with each other. |
| |
| Swing
by the drive thru. Order whatever you want and eat
it in the car while listening to some tunes. Nothing
says let's just chill out than eating in your car.
Just don't grab the cups and mix out of your trunk
cool guy. |
| |
| If
everything goes well, decide if you want to go out
on a second date. Don't decide right away if this
relationship is the ONE. Once again, just take it
easy and have a great time. |
